The design process step by step
Got a concept in mind? Here’s how we’ll turn it into reality after discussing your plans at an initial consultation.
Step 1 - Concept sketch
After we’ve got an idea of your vision, you’ll sign a Concept Agreement Form and evaluate the concept sketch that we draw up for you. We’ll take on board any changes you wish to make before you give final approval.
Step 2 - Working drawings meeting
We’ll meet to run a fine comb over the ‘working drawings’ to ensure all building items and elements are covered.
Step 3 - Evaluating the drawings
We’ll issue your working drawings to relevant local authority consultants to ensure they meet the required structural, energy efficiency, drainage, hydrant pressure, soil and lighting specifications.
Step 4 - Completion
Once we have confirmed that all external drawings and reports correspond, they are now ready to be lodged for design compliance.
Step 5 - Lodgement for Certificate Of Design Compliance
After an external building assessor prepares a Certificate Of Design Compliance, your designs are ready to be lodged to council and FESA to gain a Building Permit and feedback.
